Middle School Trip

The fifth grade class went on a trip to Druid Hills Middle School. We were welcomed with a concert consisting of an orchestra, chorus and a band. The orchestra included violins, violas, cellos and double bass. All the instruments together sounded wonderful. Maybe I will play in an orchestra when I get to middle school. The chorus sounded like angels singing. They really know how to sing. The band included trumpets, clarinets, saxophones and drums. When the instruments are all together, they make music. The concert was awesome.

The middle school upper grade students took us on a tour through the entire school. We went to the sixth grade hallway. There we saw a lot of lockers. “Oh, by the way, we learn how to open a locker.” We went to the cafeteria. It was hug--about three times bigger than our cafeteria. When I was there I felt like I was going to get lost but fortunately we had eighth graders with us and they knew the school very well. It was amazing and a little scary.

On the trip to middle school we had so much fun with the orchestra, chorus and the band. The eighth grade was so helpful by giving us a tour of the school. I can’t wait to go to middle school. It’s going to be so much fun.
