2014 Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Mrs. Patricia Nix-Isom, our 2014 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Isom is from Bainbridge, Ga. She has been living in the Atlanta area since 2005. Mrs. Isom received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Valdosta State University. After working in the field of social work and mental health counseling for eleven years, Mrs. Isom completed the Early Childhood Education teacher certification program at Albany State University.
Her teaching career started in 2006 at McLendon. She taught kindergarten for five years and fourth grade for three years. Mrs. Isom is convinced that all children can learn and all people are learners for life. Our Teacher of the Year is the wife of James Isom and the mother of two sons, Andrew and Alan.
